I hope this article serves as a beginnerās guide to any English medium students who may be struggling to prepare for BCS exam. Although I never originally intended to study for BCS exams there was always an itch at the back of my head telling me to do it. So, hereās a short intro on where to start:
1.Ā Study Bangla. And I donāt mean the entire Bengali dictionary of course. I confess that I was always weak at Bengali vocabulary so I had to make sure I built up a good baseline for that. Hereās a link for Top 1000 common Bengali words:
2. 10 Minute School to the rescue! At the time of writing this article, 10 Minute School is currently blowing up, mostly due to their huge discounts on courses. One of those courses include a BCS Prep Course. Now you can choose to do the entire course and thatās up to you (Not Advertising Here) or you could just go through the free videos that are already available on their YouTube Channel. They were even kind enough to let you watch some of the paid course videos for free. That should build up a decent understanding on what subjects you need to research on.
3. Get a Book. Yes, people might recommend you to buy dozens of books but I recommend you only get one(for now). So get your hands on any BCS Preliminary Digest Book. Thereās quite a few in the market like Professors, Assurance, Inception etc. You can buy them online fromĀ Rokomari.comĀ if you wish. Pick your poison!
