Before I start, this is not a roadmap to being the best game developer in the world or getting a Ph.D. after finishing your Master’s degree (just kidding). So, I have recently started using the Pomodoro Technique for managing my time since I am basically at home all the time and feeling quite unproductive sometimes. On top of that, I have just recently finished my Bachelor’s degree and I went straight into getting a Master’s Degree. It’s been a chill couple of weeks as I only have 2 class days compared to my previous 4 class days which gives me plenty of time to do other activities like watching Netflix and anime and playing games all day. But I also wanted to get a job. So, I have started deep diving into web development (with previous background knowledge already). Hopefully in the next few months or maybe a year, I’ll be ready to start applying to jobs since the market is quite demanding right now. Even entry-level positions need you to know frameworks like React, Angular, Node, etc. So, with that in mind, I spend around 3–4 hours on web-dev.

If you’re interested in where to learn about web-dev then the Odin Project is a good place to start, although I warn you it’s not easy lol. But it’s worth the effort. I also aspire to give the BCS exams someday in the future so I spend around 0.5–1 hour per day on it. I know it’s not a lot of time as some people study 14 hours a day for it but I’m not as invested in it at the moment. I also love playing games and making them has become a hobby now. So, I give around 1 hour on learning Unity. And if that’s not enough to get you through the day I have also applied for an Employability Skills course at UIU sponsored by Wadhwani Foundation. It’s a cool 2-month course with a cool teacher so that takes around 1 hour of my day. So, if you count all this together that is 7 hours of my day gone easily. I might not always make it to 7 hours but I try and that matters more.

I hope you get some insight on how easy (not really) it is to manage your time and hopefully this will give you some motivation to achieve great things in life!
